HEY EVERYONE IT IS A DOUBLE KUDOS WEEKEND SO BE SURE TO READ ON DOWN AND CHECK OUT THE ADDED KUDOS BONUS!!!

LETS GO BUFFALO (BILLS)!!!!

What a difference a season makes.  I forgot about the first game this season and spent most of the first half of game one working in the yard.  When I finally got a second to sit down CBS went to half time.  The fact that I was exhausted kept me in my chair until the start of the second quarter.  I never know what type of effect my watching the game will have on the out come.  There have been years when I sit in front of the television and the team just falls apart and when I purposely do not watch the team does well.  This year it seems to be the opposite.

As the Bills began their amazing second half comeback I knew I had to keep my arse in the chair until the very end.  I know now this was the right thing to do.  Last weeks game was a nail biter from start to finish but I never left my chair except for a bathroom break.

This week I barely could keep my eyes open but held out for a quick snooze during half time.  The Buffalo Bills came through again this week and the fans having more than enough to cheer about.  The Bills beat the New England Patriots after a 15 consecutive game dry patch.  The added bonus was that both teams were undefeated and the close score reflected how hard both played until the final second.  The difference was the Bills kicked the winning field goal with the clock down to zero.

Now the team goes back on the road as short as it might be to defend their record against the Cincinnati Bengals (1-2).  The record of opposing teams does not always reflect what a team can do.  The Bills were always a spoiler team when they record was less than stellar.  The way the NFL is constructed fans can never count their team out no matter who they play.  Well my Bills fan friends, until next week.

FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA
SEPTEMBER 25, 2011

Always with the highest respect I absorb the interviews of Bob Costas.  He has a brilliant mind for statistics, during one interview with Wilt Chamberlain he knew the famous basketball players numbers better than him.  So when Costas sat down with Jeff Saturday, center for the Indianapolis Colts I also took 5 to watch him work his magic.  His magic was really unnecessary this time as Saturday was more than capable to handle the interview will more brains than brawn that he exhibits every week on the grid.

There are some players who are more than just players that want to help the game evolve in a more realistic and safe environmental way.  Saturday talked about things that went on between the players during the negotiations with the National Football League and owners.  Having some insight into the things that players are passionate about puts a new spin on the fact that most fans just think it is about the money.  This in no way is no say that players are more than over paid and the media brags about the final contracts.  There are people in our country alone that have no food or a roof over there head let alone a job to go to at minimum wage.  But the fact that these athletes put their bodies on the line week in and week out is every reason why they should be compensated.

Thank You Bob Costas for bringing your audience compelling interviews at every turn.
