Peter Bjorn and John are a Swedish indie rock band, formed in Stockholm in 1999 and using their first names as the bands title. Peter Moren contributes vocals and guitar, Bjorn Yttling combines bass guitar and keyboards with backing vocals and then finally John Eriksson dispenses the drums and percussion to give the band an excellent foundation to build a sound that can dominate.
"Young Folks" from their "Writer's Block" release in 2006 which featured Victoria Bergsman formerly of "The Concretes" gave the band their first top 20 hit in the UK. Their following has since grown with 12,129 followers listed on the twitter site. Unsure at this time whether this account is legitimately monitored by the band or is a fan site.
Their appearance on "Conan" was impressive and can only fuel the fire that this band has built over the years. They are often sampled and droplets can be heard during commercials such as: "Up Against The Wall" featured in a Levi's jeans ad. The songs they are developing are definitely clicky and catchy that after hearing it during an ad you will find yourself ripping through the lyrics later with easy familiarity.
