PHILIP RAMONE (JANUARY 5, 1934-MARCH 30, 2013)

He is a South African violinist who grew up in Brooklyn, New York and became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America in 1953.  Having been a prodigy child student by the age of ten his success was already in the works.

In 1959 along with his business partner Jack Arnold he founded A & R Recording an independent recording studio where he found his niche behind the sound board.  His list of high profile artists include bands "The Band" & soloist like "Clay Aiken."  He recorded the infamous version of "Happy Birthday" sung by Marilyn Monroe dedicated to then President John F. Kennedy.

Sadly in early 2013 he was hospitalized for an aortic aneurysm which led to his fatal brain aneurysm on March 30, 2013.

He was married & had 3 children with his wife Karen Ichiuji-Ramone.
