Preparing to make the move to California has been an immense undertaking and due to that fact we were not going to have a going away party. Fortunately we had entered a giveaway from 97 Rock while @ Artpark and won so this was going to be our going away party. After I returned the phone call to 97 Rock they sent me a follow-up e-mail that included a separate attachment with everything that would be included complete with buffet menu. It was a process figuring out a date as we are so busy while picking one that could accommodate our friends hectic summer schedules. We arrive at the Buckin Buffalo Saloon just before 6pm excited that along with us our friends would receive 2 Free Drinks, Free Buffet & a complimentary $20 Gift Certificate to Buffalo Chophouse. The 97 Rock table is to the right of the door as we enter so I head over to let them know our party would be arriving shortly. They put an X on my hand while I ask if this mark is how the bartenders will know who we are. The man marking my hand gives me an odd look and informs me that the drinks were 2 for 1, the Gift Certificates did not exist but we could still get in line for the Buffet. The gentleman behind the 97 Rock table said that sometimes Gift Certificates arrive but they do not know which ones may show up later in the evening. He goes on to tell me I must have received the wrong e-mail and to have a good time. It seems we had been duped into FREE FREE FREE A.K.A. SPEND SPEND SPEND. The man at the table went as far as saying the e-mail obviously was meant for someone else. I explained that i spoke to someone on the phone after receiving a voice mail from 97 Rock explaining about my win. The woman went over all the information about what i needed to do and what our group would be entitled to when they arrive @ Buckin Buffalo Saloon. The buffet is a standard every Friday night so there really was not even any win there either as it was open to everyone. I can see now why i was picked from this box and not the Darien Lake concert ticket box. Having lived in Buffalo, NY for over 47 years this will be one of the last memories I have.
As I always say when I get treated badly or screwed over as I feel happened in this case "do they know I have a web site?" It is not easy to get away with things of this nature as the internet has opened the door for people to bring light to bad business practices. Most people who know me or are loyal fans of our web site know I am not a big fan of radio and this would have been a great opportunity to bring me back to the dark side. My MP3 player could possibly be collecting dust at this moment had my experience been a better one. That will not be the case as again I find myself with the same bad feelings toward radio that I have carried for many years. Now instead of 97 Rock appearing on my Kudos page with high-fives of adulation they will stay locked on our Gripes page.

SHAME ON CBS
Really, the number one show with amazing writing, casting, acting and directing would get a slap in the face from their network. Moving this show from a solid no holds barred time slot of Tuesday nights at 10pm to Sunday nights at 9pm often not getting started until well into the 1/2 hour mark due to CBS and the afternoon NFL game. Is the network saying THE AMAZING RACE is not doing as well as they continue to advertise?
There is not a better all around show on any network or cable station so why would CBS play russian roulette with a winner. Are the same people in charge of CBS that are running our financial and political parties? Why do we need to have more questions than answers for a show that is so successful.
Since being nominated 9 times in 2010 with 1 win to totally 42 nominations and 7 wins since the shows first episode in 2009. There should be no question that this is a show that should not be underestimated. CBS, obviously has no idea what they have because this show stands head to head with shows like: Ture Blood, Justified, Breaking Bad, the Closer, The Chicago Code, Weeds and Sons of Anarchy. So why would they move an amazing show in a slot where football can inpact the start of one of the top shows on television.
Come on lets get with the program CBS so not do this to you best written show on television at this point. Maybe your numbers show NCIS as #1 but as far as the overall directing, writing, acting it is THE GOOD WIFE!!!!
