BETH HOFFMAN was born on an elevator during a snowstorm. She was raised in rural Ohio and has been writing and painting from a young age, always dreaming of writing a novel. She started her own business as a co-owner of an interior design studio, until she had a near-death experience with a streptococcal infection. In 2004, she became inspired to write her novel and sold her portion of the interior design business. Four years later, she finished her southern fiction novel which became a New York Times Bestseller. She currently lives with her husband and cats in northern Kentucky.
