ZOE FERRARIS is an American novelist born in Oklahoma. She completed her MFA in Fiction at Columbia University. She married a Saudi Arabian man, and lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in a conservative Muslim community with her extended family of Bedouins. Her experience living there gave her the background knowledge for the books she has written: Finding Nouf and City of Veils. Both novels are award-winning. She currently resides in San Francisco.
Zoe Ferraris brings first-hand knowledge to the story. She lived in Saudi Arabia with her husband and his extended family of Bedouins. Her ability to flesh out each character brings the story to life and her descriptions of the area are vivid, drawing the reader into the story. Finding Nouf was her first novel and City of Veils was an excellent sequel. The team of Nayer and Katya is fun to watch grow with each case. I am hoping a third novel is written soon.
