CATHERINE FISHER is an author and broadcaster who was born in Newport, Wales. She has a degree in English from the University of Wales and has worked in education, lecturing on creative writing at the University of Glamorgan. Previously, she also worked as an archaeologist and a primary school teacher. She is an award-winning poet and has been writing children’s fantasy since the late 1980’s. Many of her novels have also won awards. She currently lives in Newport.
